Lady Gaga Not A Hermaphrodite Press Release - Is Lady Gaga, new princess of pop, a hermaphrodite as some are claiming, pointing to a recent picture taken from a video of a live performance at England’s Glastonbury Festival that has taken the internet by storm? In what is being called the Lady Gaga hermaphrodite picture, the singer pulls down her red mini-dress, but not in time to hide what looks to be something (?) between her legs. Many are claiming that the rumors that have been circulating on the internet for months are true — that Lady Gaga is actually a hermaphrodite, having the genitalia of both a man and a woman. And they’re saying that the Glastonbury picture proves it.

“This is completely ridiculous,” Lady Gaga’s manager told ABC News, referring to the allegations that Lady Gaga was a hermaphrodite and to the statement reported by Bossip.com that Lady Gaga had said: “It’s not something I’m ashamed of, just something I don’t go around telling everyone. Yes, I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female. It’s just a little bit of a penis and really doesn’t interfere much with my life. The reason I haven’t talked about it is that it is no big deal to me. Like come on. It’s not like we all go around talking about our vags. I think this is a great opportunity to make other multiple gendered people feel more comfortable with their bodies. I’m sexy. I’m hot. I have a poon and a peener. Big f—— deal.”

The manager believes that the rumors got their impetus from an interview Lady Gaga did with Rolling Stone in May, where she revealed that she considered herself bisexual. She said that, however, her attraction to women was purely physical. She said, “I think I’m changing what people think is sexy.”

And that she might very well do, but first Lady Gaga will have to weather the storm of a hermaphrodite picture scandal.

In the video (and the still picture taken from it), Lady Gaga stands beside a motor scooter and pulls down her dress, but not before a lightly colored bulge is seen. Underwear? Possibly. Trick of light in the video? Also possible. A penis? Also a possibility.

But not according to Lady Gaga’s manager.

And it is this kind of rumor that cannot ever be proven. Even if Lady Gaga were to strip naked for Playboy or a London tabloid in the next few hours, there will always be those who will say that she is a hermaphrodite, that she had the member removed just in case the rumors got out of hand. Or that the pictures of her were photoshopped or airbrushed. Because you cannot win with a persistent negative rumor. Ever.
