Fawcett’s son back in custody

Fawcett’s son back in custody, Wednesday, January 06, 2010- Redmond O’Neal gets put back in jail again. The troubled 24 year old was sent back to jail after a judge had found that he had committed a violation on his probation that was drug related.
The son of the late Farrah Fawcett and actor Ryan O’Neal has been in and out of jail the last few years.

The young man has been sober for the past 6 months after fighting the drug addiction for years. He was put in a rehab center this past September to help him battle the substance abuse problem, after he had served some time in jail to a drug charge and probation violation from January 2008.

Redmond appeared at a brief hearing Tuesday before Judge Michael Tynan, after he was put in jail on December 29, 2009.

Last year O’Neal had been released from jail after a series of arrests that were drug related and was ordered to attend intense drug treatment program. The judge told him that this would be the last chance he will get to avoid going to the state prison for up to six years.

The troubled man will be in custody until his next court date on February 2.
