“I really just want to provide a fun evening that highlights the fashion industry,” says Valera. “We want to give buyers a reason to go on a night that might not be normally.”

Shopping centers in the Gaza hoping to do the same. The shops at the Palazzo has brought celebrity couple Bill and Giuliana Rancic to organize their events. One notable absence will be Wynn Las Vegas and Encore. Both have luxury stores that are centers of power in the fashion industry, but are not taking part this year. The two properties plans to return in 2012.

The big event here, however, is the best of Las Vegas design competition again. Matt Goss will announce the winner after a fashion show with designs from three finalists.

“We expect people to come and have a good time,” says Stone of the crystals. “But we hope to come to the store, too. That is our ultimate goal.”
